For the final two weeks of the 2011 winter school holidays FIOGA will be running sport sessions in the sport hall at the leisure centre. This is a great opportunity for kids to try something new and for clubs to identify young talent.
Sadly Prince Edward Island IGA has taken the decision to resign their membership of the International Island Games Association. I received their letter of resignation on 30th May which reads as follows:
"It is with deep regret that IGA PEI tenders its withdrawal as a member of the International Island Games Association
Commonwealth Games Canada (CGC) is looking for nine young Canadians who are passionate about sport to be part of its third team of Capacity Support Officers (CSOs) to go abroad under the innovative Capacity Support Program (CSP).
