5 minutes with Derek
I have been asked if I have time to write about any other stories from our stay here. I am afraid to say that by the time we get back each evening there is not much we want to do except have a shower, meal and bed!
We do have to be up very early to get to the range each day. Maybe we will get a chance to get out tomorrow once shooting is over.
We have not had any problems with mosquitos, but the village is sprayed every evening!
There has also been mention of 6 snakes being caught in the village but none of us have seen any. We did have a lynx run across the range just before shooting started yesterday. I did not even get a photo as I thought it was just a big cat. We also had a stray dog run across the range twice in mid shoot on our first day.
Everyone is very helpful here but sometimes there does seem to be too many people for the job in hand. On our day off last week we were having a relaxing day watching the games on TV when about every half hour we would get a knock on the door asking to check rooms, sheets etc. After about 8 visits we just gave up answering as nothing seemed to be done. They tried again in the evening when we did get the work done.
Looking forward to a good shoot tomorrow and a relaxing final day here.
Cheers for now,
Derek
