In today's local paper there is quite a big piece about all the problems that have been encountered with the electronic targets.
It mentions that 4 teams were given re-shoots
and the other 17 countries appealed against this. The teams had a meeting and it was discussed that a boycot of the final might take place. This, in the end, was decided against as there could have been a negative effect on full-bore in future games. In the end the re-shoots did not count but this does not hide the fact many very poor scores were recorded and many targets stopped working during shooting. This problem often meant that shooters had to move to another target in mid shoot.
One example was the Australian team, who shot on the same target as us at 1000 yards, and went from gold medal possition to about 12th after scoring only 110 out of 150.
